I moved to Portland, Oregon in late summer of 2010 to build miniature textile props for LAIKA Entertainment feature films. Items like curtains, rugs, furniture covered in fabric, teddy bears, and a giant eye-ball sea monster. After spending 9 years there, I joined the team at Shadow Machine as a model maker and set dresser to work on Guillermo del Toro’s Academy award winning movie of Pinocchio. After, I worked on 2 TV shows, In the Know, Tiny Chef, seasons 2 and 3, as well as other projects. I also have worked on ventures of my own and occasionally taken on freelance work.
Before moving to the west coast, I lived in NYC for almost 12 years. I started off working various jobs as a waitress, working in Bergdorf Goodmans corporate gifts department, various office jobs, and as a nanny while finishing my BFA at The School of Visual Arts and building my commercial art career. I was lucky enough to work for the Jim Henson company and Sesame Street for about 5 years and received two day time Emmy Awards in costume design as part of their talented team. I was trained in wrangling, prop and puppet building by many wonderful artists.
I look forward to a future where I have other artistic adventures and continue to work with many talented and inspiring people.
